At first glance, it may seem impossible: Six Word Stories.

For she-who-writes-constipated-ramblings-at-Faulkner's-altar, it was a challenge easily overcome. If I can, so can you.

For inspiration, read those who've come before. Even Sue Grafton is represented. Here's mine:

Two silhouettes embrace, oblivious. Love hurts.

My recent favorite from the site:

Swallowed pills. Put on glasses. Shit! ~Ken Krimstein

Let's have some Friday fun. Your turn...

  1. Perhaps those holiday overindulgences are still too much on my mind because the first one I thought of was:
    I saw. I ate. I gained. 🙂

    Then, also:
Aged man gulps beer. Remembers youth.

  2. Marilyn...I think that first story belongs to all of us. Aren't you a show-off putting up two? 😉

walkingman...those 6 words pretty much sum up what's important. The story of a life well-lived. Love #2, also. Comparing a shot glass to a bed, the alcohol a liquid lover...pure six word poetry. Thanks for playing 🙂

Charles...it's so much fun when one of the six is a curse, isn't it? Injects some much needed emotion in the small space. Thanks for your sentence.

Be sure to post them over at sixwordstories.net if you want to offer them up for random critique.

  3. ooops... i'm doing galen's [g-man] friday 55, but 5x/week to meet aerin's challenge of 12,000 for the year
