How often do you see a television commercial that makes you laugh out loud? Hands down, my favorite right now has to be the Old Spice Ad: The Man Your Man Could Smell Like.
Not only is it funny, but it is spot-on for its target audience: the been-married-a-few-years-or-more wife who picks up soap for her family while grocery shopping. Axe fantasies are something dating men buy into and gramps goes for the traditional Irish Spring or Dial, bar soap most likely. This just so happens to be the largest portion of the romance genre's target audience. I see some serious parallels, don't you? Brava, Old Spice.
My other favorite ad right now is the Google Love Story. So brilliant in its simplicity.

Not an Old Spice kind of a gal, but I love that commercial! I admit I only buy him the products with the scents I like. Early in the marriage I simply tossed out the stuff I didn't.
I saw this Old Spice commercial the other day and thought it so funny. And the Google ad? It was my favorite from the Super Bowl.
The one commercial that I loved and still chuckle at when I think about, is the Aflac commercial with Yogi Berra. Yogi-isms absolutely crack me up!

Oh, I love that Google one--it's so sweet! But what can I say? I'm a sucker for romance.
I always like the weird ones that seemed to be trying to scare you away from buying the product. The UK 'Tango' ads had people attacked by orange monsters whenever they drank it.

I'd seen the Old Spice ad and thought it was hilarious, but this was the first time I'd watched the Google Love Story one...very, very cute ;).
Favorite commercial? The insurance company that does the right thing. Pretty sure it's Liberty Mutual. Why? Because it's what we'd all aspire to if we were brave enough to wish for a perfect world.
So, if I buy this soap, is hubby going to look like this?
