We're going to try an experiment here next Friday, a mixer of sorts for the characters populating our current novels. Scan photos or send me links (la-mitchell@la-mitchell.com) to those people who inspire you as you're writing a scene. If you're a reader, send who your mind's eye pictured for a character. Include the name of the character and one line of dialogue they're most likely to be overheard speaking at a party. Let's see what kind of crowd we can gather.
Interesting idea. This will be very hard for me, I'm afraid, though. I tend to have very clear images of what my characters look like but I only very rarely associate them with a real life person. I don't think I've ever pictured a celebrity for example. I'll be interested in checking out what folks come up with, though.

Okay, Jensen Ackles is inspirational (www.imdb.com/name/nm0010075)--definitely. On "Supernatural" he always says something snarky or quippy. His character loves junk food and '80s rock...And, hey! He's a Texan in real life, so what's not to love?

Last November during NaNoWriMo someone shared a link to Hero Machine. Helped me a great deal to picture my characters.
